Something about myself

My name is Caoliwen Wang, a junior student in USTC, majoring Computational Mathematics, especially Computer Graphics, in Mathematics Scientific Institute.

Work Experiences

Shadow Art

28 Feb 2024 -- Current

USTC-GPT Program

1 May 2023 -- 31 Nov 2023

It created "LLM + USTC", tailoring the LLM to function as a campus guide for USTC.

Projects

SFM-MVS Reconstruction Method

15 May 2024 -- 2 June 2024

This project primarily implements the classic Structure-from-Motion and Multi-View Stereo (SFM-MVS) approach for 3D reconstruction. It is based on modifications made to the SFMedu: Structure From Motion for Education Purpose, Version 2 @ 2014 framework, which was originally written by Jianxiong Xiao and is available under the MIT License. The project provides a comprehensive walkthrough of the entire method, incorporating improvements to enhance the original approach. Additionally, it integrates other relevant articles related to 3D reconstruction and compares various methods to evaluate their effectiveness and performance. You can see it here.

The report is also shown: You can see it here.

USTC Genshin Impact

27 April 2024 -- 17 May 2024

This project accomplished the development of an open-world game inspired by Genshin Impact at USTC. It features an aesthetically pleasing entry scene and a main scene created using aerial data of the USTC campus. Additionally, it includes a card game modeled after Slay the Spire. Players can explore the USTC world with a day-night cycle, reminisce about their journey in computational mathematics, and seek the truth about "Computer Graphics." The primary tool used is Unity. You can see it here.

Investigation of 3D Human Modeling

1 July 2023 -- 30 August 2023

This project was completed as part of the Advanced Computer Graphics course. In this project, I reviewed a large number of articles related to 3D human modeling, including classic works such as SCAPE, SMPL, STAR, PIFu, and fusion methods based on RGB-D. Ultimately, I completed a reading report. You can see it here.

Some resources

Learning for Computer Graphics

The purpose of this resource is to consolidate the important knowledge I have learned related to computer graphics. You can see it here. It has now been updated with the content from the computer graphics and mathematical modeling courses at USTC. The code for the computer graphics course can be found. You can see it here. This code still requires maintenance and further corrections, and I hope to have the opportunity to add more features in the future.
