Mathematical Statistics
Welcome to Our Course Website
Mathematical statistics is the application of probability theory, a branch of mathematics, to statistics, as opposed to techniques for collecting statistical data. Specific mathematical techniques which are used for this include mathematical analysis, linear algebra, stochastic analysis, differential equations, and measure theory. This is the first time you meet a "Statistics" course in real meaning . So hello everyone, WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF STATISTICS!

About Our Teaching Team
Professor: Baiqi Miao 缪柏其 bqmiao@ustc.edu.cn
Baiqi Miao is professor and doctoral supervisor in department of Fianace and Statistics in Management of School, USTC. He graduated from USTC under Xiru Chen's supervison. He is both academically strong and very popular among students. His online courses are wide spread and could be called classic.
