Chinese Sign Language Recognition Dataset

This dataset contains 500 Chinese sign categories. The purpose of this collection is to establish a practical SLR system that can be used for recognizing daily life phrases and also to provide a large dataset for evaluating different SLR methods.

1. Description

This dataset is performed by 50 unique participants, each conducting 5 times for every category. The dataset consists of 500 different categories like: body, head, hair, lady, sister, glass, cup, light, and so on. As a result, each category has 250 instances.

Since the dataset is recored with Microsoft Kinect, there are three data modalities available:

1. RGB videos with resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and frame rate of 30 fps.
2. depth videos with resolution of 512x 424 pixels and frame rate of 30 fps.
3. Twenty-five skeleton joints locations of each frame.
